Using one of the film's lobby cards as inspiration, Nicotero decided it was the perfect moment to capture in a life-sized recreation. Quint, Hooper, and Brody are on the back of the Orca and they have run in with the shark. In one shot, all three are posed, leaning over the transom, looking off to something unseen. For Nicotero, that was THE moment. He wanted the impact of seeing that moment recreated, for an audience to feel like they've stepped into the film. In Nicotero's words, "Because to me ... the whole reason you do this, the whole reason the fans exist is because they want to find a way to transport themselves into the movie that they love. That was my goal."
