Understanding The Depth Buffer | ReShade Tutorial

If you use ReShade effects like MXAO, RTGI, Depth of Field blur, or fog shaders, then you might have at some point run into problems with the depth buffer. A game's depth buffer provides information to ReShade about where each pixel on screen is in relation to its distance from the camera. Being able to intercept and use that information is how depth effects like those listed above are able to work properly. This video guide will help you understand how the depth buffer works, and show you how to configure it properly so you can use depth effect shaders in your favourite video games.
