My Daughter Catches a 60lb Tope from a Kayak | Irish Kayak Fishing | Irish Angling Diaries #15

My daughter Lauren was hope from university so we decided to take advantage of the good weather and try for a few Tope of the Kayak, it was her first time out Kayak fishing and what a result! We had 5 Tope in total from 5 baits, and she caught which is most probably the biggest Tope caught from a Kayak in Ireland (if not by a male from a female angler, but more than likely both). Now all fish from Kayak's are estimated, but I have caught weighed fish of 60 & 62lb from a boat and this was imo there, that aside the expression on her face was more valuable than the weight of the fish. It is a totally different experience on a Kayak than from a boat, the first time you see a Tope come a long side you start to question your decision making in life. The tope fishing has been amazing this year, great that I've start yo get my mojo back and get back into the fish.
