In response to the growing dissent, the party chief has replaced the North Kolkata organizational district president with a loyalist Member of the Legislative Assembly. Furthermore, the state youth wing president, who was among the nineteen rebel parliamentarians to sign a controversial letter, has been stripped of her post and replaced by a new youth leader. The party has also appointed a new president for its women's wing, a decision that was finalized earlier. A core committee has been formed to work alongside the new youth president, with a full committee review planned for the future.
