Luke 22:31-38 | Satan Asks For Permission

In Luke 22:31–38, Jesus warns Peter that Satan has asked to sift him like wheat, but He also gives this powerful promise: “I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail.” Though Peter boldly claims he will never fall away, Jesus tells him that before the rooster crows, he will deny Him three times. Jesus also prepares all the disciples for the persecution and hardship they will face for following Him. This passage reminds us that even when believers struggle and fail, our hope is secure in Christ, who holds His people by His grace.
