ALIMENTANDO OS ANIMAIS DO IOP COM A MINHA MÃE!

🐆 Help protect the jaguar → https://iop.colabore.org/instituto-on... Your donation ensures the daily care of the animals at the Jaguar Conservation Fund. Two jaguar cubs — one black, one spotted, same parents — and a full day of feeding every animal in the sanctuary with my mother. This is what Mother's Day looks like at the Jaguar Conservation Fund. My mother is Anah Tereza, biologist and co-founder of the institute. She has been studying and caring for jaguars since before I was born. In this video, she explains — live, in front of the cubs — why a jaguar couple who are both "black" can have one black cub and one spotted one. It's a genetics lesson I've been waiting to film for years. Between the morning and afternoon rounds, we feed the Pacarana (3rd largest rodent in the world, native to the Amazon, eats holding food in one hand), Tinoco the bush dog (a pack species that arrived as a tiny orphan), our spider monkeys — including Biriba, rescued after her mother was hit by a car — and a shy maned wolf couple who prefer we just leave the food and go. ⏱ CHAPTERS: 0:00 Jaguar cubs — first look (black and spotted siblings) 0:27 Meet the Pacarana: 3rd largest rodent in the world 1:04 Why Pacaranas eat with one hand (field research) 2:24 What is different today — Mother's Day at the sanctuary 2:31 Feeding Tinoco the bush dog 3:47 Tinoco's story — arrived as an orphaned pup 5:05 Feeding the spider monkeys (mulberry leaves) 6:04 Meet the spider monkeys: Magda, Wolverine, Biriba 7:28 Biriba's rescue story — found on top of her roadkilled mother 8:08 Maned wolves: the shy couple 9:34 Afternoon feeding round 9:57 Back to the jaguar cubs — Romeo and Mamba 10:34 Genetics explained: why one cub is black and one is spotted 12:05 Cubs explore — completely different personalities 13:21 Mamba's maternal vocalization 14:19 Wrap-up — Happy Mother's Day 📌 ABOUT THE JAGUAR CONSERVATION FUND: The Jaguar Conservation Fund (Instituto Onça-Pintada) was founded by my parents in 2002. We study and protect jaguars and their prey across Brazil — from the Cerrado to the Amazon. Animals in this video are permanent residents who cannot be returned to the wild, raised here since cubs. 💛 SUPPORT THE JAGUAR CONSERVATION FUND: Every donation helps feed, monitor, and protect jaguars and dozens of other animals. → https://iop.colabore.org/instituto-on... 🔗 LINKS: 👉 All my socials: https://linktr.ee/tiagojacomo 👉 Instagram:   / tiago_jacomo_iop   👉 Institute: https://www.institutooncapintada.org.br/ ⭐ Become a MEMBER and support conservation:    / @tiagojacomo   🐆 ABOUT THIS CHANNEL: I'm Tiago Jácomo, from the Jaguar Conservation Fund!
