Frank Kelly - RALLY OF THE LAKES EVENT VLOG - Killarney 2024

Very tough rally of the lakes in Killarney. Saturdays stages are some of the toughest I’ve done. Hard on man and machine. We had a very slow start but got going later in the day. Sunday was more to my liking and we went on a push. Car felt fantastic, notes working real well and a sprinkle of gravel on the surface made me feel right at home. As usual I carried on until we were almost carried off. In a great battle with Damian Toner for top tarmac points and 2 stages from home we came across him stuck in a chicane. We pulled along side as he took off again and from there it was the wacky races bumper to bumper all the way through the stage until I clobbered a bridge on the 3rd last corner. You couldn’t make it up 😂😂. Thankfully we got out of the stage and some roadside repairs and parts Damian had, got us to the finish. Sportsmanship is alive and well in Irish rallying. Good to get to the finish for the first time since Galway. Huge thanks to everyone who came into service to say hello and supported us via our merch sales. Thanks to the many marshals and time keepers out on the stages. These men and women really don’t get enough credit for what they do.
