What Happened To Buck Knives? How Americas Most Iconic Pocket Knife Nearly Lost It All
Back in 1902, a teenage blacksmith apprentice named Hoyt Buck in Kansas figured out a better way to treat steel so it would hold an edge longer. That simple idea turned into his first knife and eventually launched one of the most respected knife brands in the world. In 1947, Hoyt and his son Al started H.H. Buck & Son in San Diego. What began as handmade knives in a small shop grew into a family business now in its fifth generation, famous for tough, reliable blades that hunters and outdoorsmen swear by. They basically created the modern folding hunter knife, the legendary Buck 110 that made "Buck knife" a household name for lockback folders. Over 120 years later, Buck is still making quality knives right here in the USA. If you love knives with real history and heritage, this one's for you. Subscribe.
