We Drove a 34ft Class A Motorhome 10,000KM Across Australia & Back | Full Film

We took Big Whinnie — our 34-foot Winnebago Nullarbor Class A motorhome — and Lil Stubby the Jeep on a 10,000km month-long run from Western Australia to the south-east of Australia and back again. From Perth, across the Nullarbor, down the South Australian coast, through the Grampians, the Otways, the Great Ocean Road, the Yarra Ranges, Bright and the Victorian High Country, into Canberra, then all the way back across the paddock to WA — this was our biggest Slippery Gypsy RV trip yet. This full road trip film follows the entire East Coast Run from start to finish: • Preparing Big Whinnie and setting up Lil Stubby to flat tow • Leaving Perth and crossing the Nullarbor • Port Broughton, Rapid Bay and the Fleurieu Peninsula • Mount Gambier and its sinkholes • Campe’s Motor Museum in Hamilton • Halls Gap and the Grampians • Port Campbell, Loch Ard Gorge and the Twelve Apostles • Apollo Bay and the Otways rainforest • The full Great Ocean Road drive in a Class A motorhome • The Black Spur, Marysville and the Yarra Ranges • Bright, Falls Creek and the Victorian High Country • Canberra, then the long run home through Robinvale, Kimba, the Nullarbor cliffs and Norseman This was not just a holiday. It was the first proper long-distance mission for Big Whinnie and Lil Stubby together — a month of big driving days, roadside camps, forests, mountains, coast roads, wild weather, quiet towns, dodgy caravan park sites, and the kind of places that remind you why you bought a rig like this in the first place. Big Whinnie handled the kilometres exactly as she was built to. Lil Stubby proved to be one of the best additions we have made. And by the end of it, the Otways and Bright had gone straight to the top of our favourite places in Australia. Thanks for watching The Slippery Gypsy RV.
