Nahariya City Walk | Ga’aton Street, the Beach & Local Life

Join me on a daytime walk through Nahariya, one of Israel’s northernmost coastal cities, located just a short distance from the Lebanese border. I began my journey inside the Arena Mall, capturing the atmosphere and everyday life inside the city’s main shopping center. From there, I continued toward Nahariya’s train station — the northernmost railway station in Israel — and explored the nearby bus area before making my way onto the lively Ga’aton Street. Along Ga’aton, the city’s central boulevard, workers were busy trimming trees, adding an interesting soundtrack to the walk. The energy was calm and pleasant, as the city continues to recover and rebuild after more than a year of conflict with Hezbollah. You can really see signs of renewal everywhere, including colorful murals painted across many bomb shelters throughout the city. My walk then took me to Nahariya’s beautiful beachfront, where I enjoyed the sea views and filmed local fishermen quietly casting their lines. I also wandered through some of the peaceful residential neighborhoods, giving a glimpse of everyday life in a city slowly coming back to life. The tour ends at Nahariya’s iconic cable-stayed bridge above Highway 4 — a great spot with a unique view over the city.
