Parashat Vayikra 5783 : Drawing Close

This week our Torah reading cycle begins the Book of Leviticus, called by our sages 'the heart of the Torah,' with its first portion, parashat Vayikra. How can modern man relate to the korbanot (offerings) that we are commanded to bring in the Holy Temple? This complex subject remains an enigma that we seem to grow further and further away from understanding with the passage of time. Yet the true meaning of the Temple offerings conveys a life-changing lesson for man and his mission in this life. The portion of Vayikra (Lev. 1 : 1 - 5 : 26) is read on Shabbat, 3 Nisan, 5783 - March 25, 2023 ___ Rabbi Chaim Richman Jerusalem Lights | Torah for Everyone Please support the work of Jerusalem Lights, a USA recognized 501 ( c ) 3 non-profit organization to enable these productions to continue and grow: Paypal: [email protected] or: https://paypal.me/JerusalemLights?loc...
