DEUTSCHES FAST FOOD IN DEN USA ALS BUSINESS

Glück auf and howdy from Austin, Texas, It's Wednesday, and that means lunch break with Andre. Many of you have written to me asking what I think of German restaurant concepts in the US. Well... very few of them work. Doner kebabs, currywurst, and pretzels taste great, but they hardly stand a chance on the market here. The same goes for German baked goods. In my opinion, this is due to the habits of Americans. They simply aren't familiar with these foods, and it's not attractive for a mass-market concept. Americans just have a different breakfast. Why would they swarm a German bakery? Sure, they like it. But only occasionally. And occasionally isn't enough for a successful business. At least not according to the American definition. Check out Naf Naf. It's supposed to be a doner kebab concept. Do you recognize it? Is it like the one in Germany? Here's the link: https://www.nafnafgrill.com/ The German startup VertsKebab also failed. Although they were able to attract investors, they ultimately faltered due to logistical challenges and, ultimately, American tastes. They filed for bankruptcy in 2018, despite an attempt at rebranding. I hope the video provides some inspiration. Greetings from Austin, Andre #emigrate #businessinusa #currywurst #foodtruck #Texas
