Hackle: Combed Top for Hand Spinning
A short video in which I combined some Corriedale and Merino into a preparation ready to spin into yarn. I did this in two steps, the first was to make my variegated greens, which I then re-placed on the hackle in stripes between some darker solid colours. I use a Majacraft 2-pitch hackle, which is a wonderful quality tool, ideal for colour blending and opening up fiber for worsted spinning.
