e-Up! Yellow flash, won't charge: Park microswitch Repair
Note! Apparently it's possible to do without removing the gear knob. Documenting my e-Up! repair, where it wouldn't charge - changing the gear selector microswitch solved the issue. Following this thread: https://www.upownersclub.co.uk/thread... Symptoms: Car shows as in park on dash, but yellow flashing when plugged in. Fault: There's a microswitch that tells the charging circuit whether the car is in park, this can fail. Workarounds! Charge with the key in the ignition Unload park before charging - pull the handbrake hard if on hill. Time Taken: About 2.5hrs (would be a lot faster second time) Tools required: Pry tools Torx T20 Spline M6 Side cutters Hose clamp pliers Soldering iron, solder, wick Parts Microswitch (DC2C-K9AA) Hose clamp (about 17mm) remove e-up gear selector
