London Festival of Model Railways 2018

Once again the Alexandra Palace exhibition lived up to the high expectations set by previous shows, with an excellent array of layouts, big, small and everything in between. All the major players in the industry were present, showing their latest models and offering an insight into their future products, although surprisingly one of the country’s most numerous trains is still not represented in model form, the Bombardier “Electrostar”. All aspects of the hobby were covered, new and second hand models, building a layout, scenery, electronics, digital control, scratch and kit building rolling stock. The standard of the layouts on show were of the highest order, offering modellers a massive array of ideas to include in their own projects.
