While besieging the great city of Jericho, Achan took a cloak and some silver and gold as his own. However, this was a grave sin that stole God’s glory. The destruction of Jericho was entirely God’s work, and Achan had no justification for claiming his share. However, in our economic activities, we are accustomed to always putting our roles and interests ahead of God’s glory. This disrupts and torments God and our order. Achor, a Place of Suffering The valley repeats itself in our lives even now.
