Regarding the UART functionality, the hardware architecture of the 706S differs from the 703S. In the 703S, the signal generator and the UART function share the same microcontroller (MCU) resources, allowing both functions to be operated on the same hardware platform. However, in the 706S, the signal generator is designed as a standalone module with dedicated hardware resources. Due to this design change, adding the UART function via a firmware update is unfortunately not possible. We understand why this feature is important to many users and appreciate your suggestion.
