Lake Tinaroo | CAMPING FAR NORTH QUEENSLAND

Lake Tinaroo is always our first choice when we want to get away for a night or two. Located only 1 and half hours away from Cairns, this location is everything you didn't know you needed! There are multiple camping areas that provide you with a different and unique outlook over the lake. We camped at Fong-On Bay, which is the closest campground when driving up the Gillies Range (south of Cairns). With an abundance of wildlife, trees, and mountains, Lake Tinaroo is great for the soul.
