Powder Coating Alloy Wheels - WHAT NOT TO DO!
In this video we show case a set of brand new Porsche factory wheels getting a custom red line around the lip. They came in brand new so we decided not to strip them down to the bare metal. Once we put them in the oven for clear coat, the clear coat started bubbling. It was a chemical reaction either from the grease that was not properly washed off or the factory finish did not hold well to our ovens heat. We ended up stripping the entire wheel down and started the powder coating process over. Watch until the end to see how beautiful they turned out For daily videos and activities around our shop follow us on: IG: @rtpcustoms / rtpcustoms FB: RTP Customs / rtpcustoms
