The Secret Railfan Spot in Latrobe, PA

I spent the day railfanning along Norfolk Southern's Pittsburgh Line, starting in Derry and ending in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. What began as a simple day of watching trains turned into an unexpected trip involving abandoned platforms, CP TROBE, the famous 63V "Oscar" trash train, severe weather, a Chinese food misadventure, and a realization that the place I remembered most wasn't even the place I came to see. In this video I take a look at Latrobe's unofficial railfan viewing area, discuss what to expect if you're planning a visit, and share why Derry may have quietly become one of my favorite spots on the Pittsburgh Line.
