I finally watched LEPRECHAUN (1993) | Movie Review

Leprechaun (1993) finally gets reviewed on my 52 Week Horror Movie Challenge! Prompt #44 was "Element of Folklore" and I picked this horror comedy classic starring Warwick Davis as the murderous leprechaun hunting his stolen gold coins. I avoided this movie for decades because of a terrifying childhood nightmare where Warwick Davis' leprechaun brutally killed me over and over in a gory time loop. Watching it as an adult was wild! It's campy, pun-filled, and self-aware in the best way with plenty of "They're after me Lucky Charms" references. Jennifer Aniston in her first feature film, solid practical effects, and non-stop ridiculous slasher fun. Is it a masterpiece? No. But Warwick Davis carries it completely. Have you seen Leprechaun? Which sequel is your favorite? Let me know! #HorrorMovieReview #Leprechaun #52WeekHorrorChallenge Ratings Breakdown: 96 - 100: A+ 90 - 95: A 85 - 89: A- 80 - 84: B+ 75 - 79: B 70 - 74: B- 65 - 69: C+ 60 - 64: C 55 - 59: C- 50 - 54: D+ 45 - 49: D 40 - 44: D- 0 - 39: F
