We Love to Hate Everything THIS WEEK 5/21/2023

We're dishing on all the things we love to hate this week from TV to TikTok AND another chapter in the epic Sister Wives NYT's best-selling BECOMING SISTER WIVES! We finally got into the Vanderpump Rules Scandoval, and geez, weird how Tom's excuses sound like every man on earth gaslighting their partner. Controversial take on Yellowjackets, so fair warning if you haven't watched it yet! Then per usual, we visit Janelle, Kody & Robyn's Instagrams and read Christine & Robyn's chapters in the Brown pffflllttt Family book! SISTER WIVES The rarely seen world of a polygamist family is documented in "Sister Wives," which follows Kody Brown, his four wives and their combined 18 children trying to live as a "normal" family in a society that shuns their lifestyle. Three of the wives -- Meri, Janelle and Christine -- have worked for years with Kody to develop a cohesive, loving unit, and their marriages produced 13 kids. Then wife No. 4, Robyn, and her three children were added to the family much later, a development that produced mixed feelings, insecurities and uncertainties. Will it disrupt the balance and change the Browns' lives for the worse? BECOMING SISTER WIVES The uncensored, New York Times bestselling memoir by the polygamist stars of the hit show Sister Wives, Kody and his four wives openly discuss what it’s like living in a plural marriage. YELLOWJACKETS "Yellowjackets" tells the narrative of a team of wildly talented high-school girls soccer players who survive a plane crash deep in the Ontario wilderness. The series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to warring, cannibalistic clans, while also tracking the lives they have attempted to piece back together. Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher and Sammi Hanratty star as the teenagers, while Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress, Christina Ricci and Juliette Lewis portray their adult counterparts as they reveal the truth about their survival 25 years later. VANDERPUMP RULES Lisa Vanderpump first gained fame as a cast member on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," but her full-time job is as co-owner and boss at West Hollywood, Calif., restaurant SUR, which stands for Sexy Unique Restaurant. Vanderpump balances her motherly instinct with her shrewd business sense to maintain control over the restaurant's wild group of employees who are working at the eatery while pursuing their dreams. Drama seems to be part of the job for the employees at SUR, who tend to date -- and, in most cases, subsequently break up with -- their fellow co-workers.
