God's Gift

I am not a religious man, but spiritual in many respects. This adaptation really moved me. Please enjoy this Contemporary Country Gospel / Orchestral Soul ballad.... God's Gift *Genre:* Contemporary Gospel / Orchestral Soul *Tempo:* Mid-tempo, uplifting ballad (approx. 72 BPM) *Instrumentation:* Acoustic piano, warm Hammond B3 organ, swelling orchestral strings, and a full gospel choir. --- *[Verse 1]* (A solitary acoustic piano plays a warm chord progression. A soulful Lead Vocalist sings with intimate emotion.) *Lead:* A simple gift from God above, A life renewed and filled with love. It is ours to grasp within our hands, To face this world and its demands. --- *[Verse 2]* (The bass guitar and a soft string quartet enter, building the texture.) *Lead:* It is His gifts that we must see, To live this life as it should be. A future bright, a conscience clear, We listen now, His words to hear. --- *[Chorus]* (The full rhythm section enters with a slow, powerful groove. The Backing Choir joins in full, lush harmony.) *Lead & Choir (Harmonies):* Oh, this is the gift of love He will allow, In Him we find all our answers now. (**Lead:**) The fog has lifted... This section utilizes **Polyphonic Counterpoint* and *Call-and-Response* to build maximum emotional overlap.)* (**Lead Call):** The path is lit as we step on, (**Choir Response - Tenors/Basses:) We step on, we step on... (**Lead Call):** Old doors have closed, old fears have gone! (**Choir Response - Sopranos/Altos:) Fears are gone, fears are gone! (Vocal Overlap / Counterpoint Sections) *Choir (Sustained Harmony):* It is His song we stop to hear, The triumph of a conquered fear! (**Lead Soaring Counter-Melody over the Choir): He conquered the fear! We stop and hear His glorious song! The past is gone! --- *[Guitar / String Climax Solo]* (A powerful, emotionally charged instrumental section building up to the final chorus.) --- *[Final Chorus]* (Maximum intensity. The full choir is in multi-part harmony, overlapping lines with the Lead Vocalist who is singing powerful, soulful ad-libs.)
