Namely, Reformed theology, sola fide, penal substitutionary atonement, and Christ being imputed with man's sin. As someone who was less familiar with Jay's content, I was honestly shocked at how poor the representation of Protestants was — in what appears to be a lesson he was giving for Eastern Orthodox individuals regarding Reformed theology and the Protestant Reformation. One almost wonders if he was conducting a comedic bit. Nevertheless, it provides us with a plethora of common myths, caricatures and pop-slop level claims that Protestants have to be familiar with, understand how they are used to craft a larger meta-narrative, and what the historical/primary sources actually show.
