Zero recon was done, but some route beta was borrowed from scoping Russel Finsterwald's Strava and trail maps. This was the "last hurrah" ride before Eric went in for hip surgery for his torn labrum, with the goal to return to professional racing. He's been trying to work through the pain, discomfort, and increasing loss of performance on the bike and on the run.
