Watch This BEFORE Flying to Thailand: Proof of Funds & Visa Rules

Thailand Immigration Update: The "Three No's" & Proof of Funds Are you planning to travel to Thailand soon? Our Client Care Manager, John, breaks down the latest crucial updates regarding Thailand's strict enforcement of the "Three No's" policy: No Entry, No Stay, and No Escape. Immigration authorities are now routinely asking inbound travelers to show proof and source of funds before entering the Kingdom. Here is what you need to know before you fly: • Visa Exemption, Visa on Arrival, & Transit: You must show 10,000 THB per person or 20,000 THB per family (or the equivalent in overseas funds). • Pre-planned Tourist & Non-Immigrant Visas: The requirement rises to 20,000 THB per person or 40,000 THB per family. • Preferred Format: While officers may accept digital proof on banking apps, it is strongly advised to carry the funds in cash, using recognized currencies like THB, USD, EUR, or GBP. • Increased Scrutiny: Officers are heavily scrutinizing arrivals for missing itineraries, repeated border runs, insufficient funds, and a lack of onward flight tickets. • The Crackdown: This intelligence-led effort, working alongside police and the DSI, aims to block high-risk individuals, target visa abuse (like skipping education visa classes to work illegally), and reduce criminality.
