2021-2025 NISSAN ROGUE 1.5L Turbo - Drain Bad transmission fluid from CVT-3

A DIY auto mechanic describes must-have tips for draining bad fluid and filling the 2023 NISSAN ROGUE SL AWD transmission. (KR15DDT) The most common signs of dirty transmission fluid are an overheating engine and burning smells. Trouble codes include P0700, P0705, P0706, P0707, P0720, and P0730. Note: Check the vehicle manual for maintenance and warranty details. VIDEO UPDATE: The video describes one mini flush (3.5-4 quarts). However, you must perform two mini flushes to bring the fluid to like-new condition. ADDITIONAL STEPS NOT SHOWN. After filling transmission: 1. Set the parking brake and run the vehicle for one minute while cycling through all gears at least three times. 2. Shut off the vehicle and, while noting warm surfaces, drain fluid (~3.5-4 additional quarts). 3. Close the drain port permanently. 4. Add "3 quarts" of new fluid. 5. Locate and loosen the fluid Check Port bolt [Large Hex bolt located approximately 4 inches from the front driver side of the transmission]. 6. Lower the vehicle as close to level as possible, while maintaining access to the check port. 7. Place a drain bucket beneath the check port. 8. Remove the check port bolt. 9. Add new fluid, 1/4 quart at a time, rechecking the check port for trickles after each 1/4 quart, until fluid slowly trickles out from the check port (reached proper level). 10.
