The Kochi and Shikoku road trip in the Civic RS has finally begun! The first day begins with a 540km journey westward, cutting through the silence of the night. Our destinations were supposed to be the Shikoku Karst, collecting stamps for the 100 Famous Castles, and riding the remaining Kiha 185 and 2000 series trains... but unexpected road closures and the unfamiliar navigation system led us astray on the highway in the middle of the night. Crossing the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, seemingly floating above the dark sea, we finally arrived at Awaji Island. At 3:30 AM, rubbing our sleepy eyes, we felt a great sense of relief upon arriving at the Awaji Roadside Station.
