A motorcycle journey from Batu to Mount Bromo, crossing one of the most surreal volcanic landscapes on Earth. From misty highland roads and distant volcano views… to the endless Sea of Sand, where the world feels like another planet. This is Day 6 of the ride across Indonesia—an experience shaped by fear, curiosity, and the quiet pull of a dream I once only saw in photographs back in India. Riding through shifting volcanic sand for the first time, learning to balance, adapt, and trust the road beneath me… Stopping at small warungs, meeting travellers, and eventually walking alone into the silence of the Sea of Sand toward Pura Luhur Poten. From there, the journey continues to the edge of Mount Bromo’s crater—where smoke rises from the earth, and the sound of the volcano reminds you how alive the world really is. And finally, as the sun sets over Batok and Bromo, everything slows down. Dreams don’t always feel like arrival. Sometimes… they feel like silence.
