Ask Shallon: Meeting the Parents

If there is one first impression you want to get right, its when you meet his parents for the first time. Do not underestimate the opinion of his parents, and especially the Mom. Here are some quick and easy tips to be in the good graces of Mom. Be Kate Middleton, not Linsday Lohan! Always remember that Moms want their sons to be with the "safest" female possible. Dress conservatively. ie. no smoky eye, full red lips, etc. Bring a Gift. But choose your gift carefully. If you decide to get flowers, don't forget the vase! Do NOT curse. Even if everyone else is cursing. Always remember eye contact. Eye contact shows that you are respectful, interested, and attentive.
