AutoCAD Xrefs - Working with and understanding how to use

Example of xref: Hi, the difference between overlay and attachment is simple. If you have a drawing open say called 123.dwg, then xref into it a drawing called xyz.dwg and use attachment method, if you then xref drawing 123.dwg into a drawing called ABC.dwg both drawing 123.dwg and xyz.dwg will be xrefed in as xyz.dwg was attached to 123.dwg. If you xref drawing xyz.dwg into 123.dwg as overlay, then xref 123.dwg into ABC.dwg, only 123.dwg will be xrefed in. Basically, xrefing using attachment instead over overlay will only be noticeable if you then xref that drawing into another drawing.
