Hiru Erregeen Mahaila (2444 m) 07:16 Notas al programa: Mendiak (“Montes” en euskera), para dos flautas y violonchelo, es una obra inspirada en la contemplación de tres cumbres navarras: Irulegi, Saioa e Hiru Erregeen Mahaia. Cada movimiento busca evocar el carácter singular de estos paisajes, así como la experiencia de su ascensión. A través del diálogo entre las dos flautas y el violonchelo, la música recorre diferentes perspectivas de la montaña: la serenidad de la distancia, la energía del ascenso y la amplitud de los horizontes. Más que una descripción literal, la obra propone evocar una experiencia en la que los instrumentos se entrelazan en una masa de sonido vivo y cambiante, invitando al oyente a emprender su propio recorrido imaginario por estos montes. --- Program Notes: Mendiak (“Mountains” in Basque), for two flutes and cello, is a work inspired by the contemplation of three mountain peaks in Navarre: Irulegi, Saioa, and Hiru Erregeen Mahaia. Each movement seeks to evoke the distinctive character of these landscapes, as well as the experience of ascending them. Through the dialogue between the two flutes and the cello, the music explores different perspectives of the mountain: the serenity of viewing it from afar, the energy of the climb, and the vastness of its horizons. Rather than offering a literal depiction, the work aims to evoke an experience in which the instruments intertwine into a living, ever-changing mass of sound, inviting the listener to embark on their own imaginative journey through these mountains.
