“Once Upon a Dream” uses “dream” as a metaphor to reflect on life through the eyes of an elderly protagonist. A person spends a lifetime dreaming, yet true awakening begins when one knows who they want to become. Dreams are not the past, but a state of being—and not everyone is ready to face themselves. We once believed dreams were fairy tales, love, and achievements. Only later do we realize they were merely rooms we paused in while searching for who we are. “The true dream is becoming oneself—choosing happiness and living a life without escape”.
