“A Lutheran Model for Mission to the Jewish People,”
“A Lutheran Model for Mission to the Jewish People,” Join us as a pastor from our sisterchurch speaks about his work in israel. “A Lutheran Model for Mission to the Jewish People,” would challenge the two different but completing pressures in the post holocaust: relativism and dispensationalism. And perhaps in the Q&A there would be discussion about Rev. Fr. Sahar Sadlovsky current work as a Jewish-Israeli Lutheran pastor in a new church plant in Tel Aviv. About the Author: Fr. Sahar Sadlovsky grew up in Israel in a Jewish family deeply rooted in the land of Israel. Through friendships with Arab Christians on his soccer team, he first heard about Jesus and grew curious. His search for answers led him online, where he began reading the New Testament. As he read, the Holy Spirit worked in his heart, convincing him that Jesus is the promised Messiah. In 2015, Sahar was baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (unfortunately I had some internet problems - and you will see me having a frozen screen every now and again...) From the beginning of his Christian journey, his thirst for pure doctrine and the faith of the Church intensified, and he soon discovered where the well is found: in Evangelical Lutheran teaching. Sahar’s desire was to become a Confessional Lutheran pastor for his own people in Israel. He was ordained into the Office of the Holy Ministry on October 18, 2025, by the bishop of the Mission Province in Sweden. Fr. Sahar serves the Lord’s people in Tel Aviv, in the newly established "Israeli Evangelical Lutheran Church," where he continues to nurture the confessional Lutheran congregation he founded. The Church is under the episcopacy of the Mission Province in Sweden, in collaboration with and sponsored by the LCMS OIM Eurasia, and the Evangelical Lutheran Mission Diocese in Finland. Fr. Sahar holds a BA in Theology from the Israel College of the Bible and is currently writing his thesis for his Master of Sacred Theology (STM) degree at Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Indiana—Gothenburg program in Sweden. He is married to Maria (a native of Sweden), and they have two girls, Thea and Adiel, and they currently live in Tel Aviv. Fr. Sahar’s hobbies include football and basketball, American vintage cars, reading Israeli literature and German theology, and he is also an enthusiastic coffee snob who prefers single-origin beans.
