This Baja Mexico Overlanding Spot Looks Like a Crime Scene
Is Baja Mexico safe? We drove our truck camper into a remote overlanding campsite and found an abandoned site with a truck covered in what looked like blood. After two weeks of truck camping through Baja California, we finally got our answer about Mexico travel safety. Before driving down to Baja, everyone warned us about traveling through Mexico. Two weeks into our overlanding adventure, we discovered a creepy abandoned campsite in the mountains near Cabo Pulmo. A white truck covered in dark red streaks. Gear scattered everywhere. No one around. What we found out the next morning changed everything we thought about Baja. 🌮 BAJA CALIFORNIA HIGHLIGHTS: • San Felipe coastal camping • Guerrero Negro overnight stop • Mulegé hidden gems • Loreto's warm welcome • Agua Verde paradise • Cabo Pulmo National Park & fresh fish tacos • Sierra La Laguna mountain camping • Cabo San Lucas birthday surprise • Unexpected purchase at our favorite store 🚨 THE CREEPY CAMPSITE: We rolled into what looked like an abandoned crime scene. Tents left behind, chairs scattered, coolers sitting out, and a white truck absolutely covered in dark red streaks. We were completely freaked out. Was this blood? Did something terrible happen here? We stayed the night to see if things looked different in the morning. 🛡️ IS BAJA MEXICO ACTUALLY SAFE?
