Titisee | Schwarzwald | Rhein-Eifel.TV

Video from https://www.rhein-eifel.tv - When you think of the Black Forest, the words "Bollenhut" (traditional German hat), cuckoo clocks, ham, and cherry cake immediately come to mind. When asked about sights, Lake Titisee is usually mentioned alongside Feldberg, Schluchsee, and Freiburg Minster. The oval mountain lake, whose peculiar name is the subject of various unprovable legends, is definitely one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Black Forest. Only early in the morning, when the hordes of tourists from all over the world have not yet arrived, does the crystal-clear Lake Titisee radiate tranquility and idyll in the hilly landscape. Even then, a few boats can be seen sailing. The tranquility is over by late morning. The many parking lots fill up, and then the crowds flock to the small town of Titisee, which is perfectly geared towards tourism with a shopping and entertainment district. The shops on the northern shore of the lake offer all the usual Black Forest items, such as cuckoo clocks, Black Forest ham, jewelry, souvenirs, and traditional costumes, which travel from here all over the world. The Zäpfle train travels to the surrounding area, the large ships depart every half hour for lake cruises, the boat rental companies are very busy, and the Ferris wheel is now constantly turning. A visit to the small spa gardens on the western shore next to the lido and a 6-km hike around the lake are all that's left for a peaceful nature experience. @Rhein-EifelTV
