This 21st video is about an incident I actually experienced with a difficult senior nurse during my time as a nurse. Honestly, I struggled with interpersonal relationships a lot, even when I was a nursing student. "Why would they say something so mean?" "Why did this happen?" I thought that many times. But even amidst all that, there was a senior nurse I respected. She was a certified nurse, incredibly knowledgeable and experienced, but she treated everyone equally, regardless of hierarchy. She would naturally help nurses in need, and was always kind to patients. She showed what nursing truly is, not just through words, but through actions. Seeing her, I thought many times, "I want to be like her," and I think that's what motivated me to continue nursing. There are unpleasant people everywhere, and it can be tough, but conversely, meeting someone you want to be like is truly significant. Do you all have a senior nurse or someone you respect who has saved you in your life? Also, this is something I've always been conscious of: even with people who say unpleasant things, I tried to see if there might be some good qualities somewhere. Of course, you don't have to force yourself to like them (lol), but I feel like thinking that way helped protect my own heart.
