Starter Kits | Episode 12 | The Unperson Approach
I am sure you know the Unperson's channel, which is one of my heroes amongst DivKid, Mylar, Red Jeremy, Tom Churchill and Blush Response (just to name a few, sorry if I've missed you). What makes Ally's Unperson channel special - imho - is that he's always using a 104 HP case, some keys and a drummachine or Teenage Engineering device to compensate for the sonic shortcomings of the modular, while getting amazing music from that same 104 HP. They're a joy to watch and listen to. I often wonder why the fork I have so many modules I can't even use at the same time. 2024 is a year where I'll focus on the things we already have instead of the latest gear we may not always need. I will not exclude bargain gear like the Abacus. Ally succeeded bringing modular to a wide audience, while making real music. His approach can bring a lot of fun to anyone, with any background, any skill level and any budget. Cheers! All references to the Unperson channel are used with honor, respect, and permission.
