The Arrival of the Pilgrim Relics of St. Francis of Assisi in the Diocese of Novaliches

The Pilgrim Relics of St. Francis of Assisi arrived at the St. Maximilian Mary Kolbe Parish in Greenfields 1, Quezon City under the Diocese of Novaliches on June 20, 2026. According to a Franciscan friar in charge of the pilgrimage in the Philippines in line with the Jubilee Year, the relic is a bone of St. Francis. Though he said he could not disclose which part of the body it came from specifically. The St. Maximilian Mary Kolbe Parish is the only stop of the relics of St. Francis of Assisi in the Diocese of Novaliches and will leave on June 23, 2026 for the next stop in his Philippine itinerary. Pope Leo XIV declared a special Jubilee Year in honor of St. Francis of Assisi from January 10, 2026 to January 10, 2027 to celebrate his 8th death centenary.
