「きこえる？ 21Hz」 金沢21世紀美術館のポッドキャスト／レーベル【21Hz】。ヒトが聞くことのできる音は20Hzから、そこから一歩先の未来に耳をすませる【21Hz】。21美ならではのサウンドコンテンツを配信中。 金沢21世紀美術館の音楽プロジェクト「21Hz」に、アーティスト・.jvkn（ドット・ジュカン）がオーディオヴィジュアル作品で参加。 本作は、.jvknが「世界を歌い歩く」をコンセプトに展開するプロジェクト「Walkthrough」の一作として、当館屋上で収録したサウンドワークです。サウジアラビア、ナミビア、マレーシアと世界を渡り歩いてきた同プロジェクトにとって、これが初の日本での収録となります。 楽曲は、2nd シングル「集合論」。屋上で歌い、拾い集めた声と環境音をスタジオへ持ち帰り、後からピアノを重ねて完成させました。通常は立ち入ることのできない屋上から見渡す景色には、円形の建築が「まる美」と親しまれるこの美術館の姿が、そのまま広がっています。 初夏の光と風の中で収録された、金沢21世紀美術館の音と風景をお楽しみください。 なお、.jvknは2024年にも当館でMV「Distant」を撮影・公開しており、本作は縁深いこの場所での2度目のコラボレーションとなります。 Walkthrough 国内外の自然や都市、さまざまな場所を一人カメラとマイクでめぐり、そこで出会う風景と音を、歌とともに記録していきます。 「Walkthrough」は直訳すると「通り抜ける」ですが、「通し稽古」や「一通り説明する」といった意味も持つ言葉。その多義性を活かして、歌いながら歩き、風景と音を通して一つの体験をなぞるような企画です。 ミュージックビデオでもライブでもない、旅する歌のドキュメント。 -- 集合論 Written by .JVKN Produced by .JVKN / ORITO HAMADA Spotify : https://open.spotify.com/intl-ja/trac... The sounds that the human ear can perceive start at 20 Hz, and from there [21Hz] is listening one step further into the future, delivering sound content unique to the museum. Artist .jvkn joins 21Hz, the sound program of the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, with a new sound / video work. Filmed on the museum's rooftop, this piece is part of Walkthrough — .jvkn's ongoing project built around a simple idea: singing through the world, one place at a time. From Saudi Arabia to Namibia to Malaysia, the project has traveled across continents. This marks its first recording in Japan. The track is "Shugoron," .jvkn's 2nd single. Vocals and ambient sound were captured on the rooftop, then brought back to the studio, where piano was layered afterward. From a vantage point normally off-limits to visitors, the museum's iconic circular form — affectionately known as Maru-Bi ("the round museum") — unfolds in full view. A work of sound and landscape, recorded in the early summer light of Kanazawa. We hope you enjoy it. .jvkn previously filmed and released the music video for "Distant" at this museum in 2024 — making this a second collaboration with a place that holds a special place in the artist's practice. -- Walkthrough Traveling solo with just a camera and microphone, capturing encounters with landscapes and sounds through songs. “Walkthrough” literally means to "pass through," but also carries meanings like "a rehearsal" or "an overview." Leveraging this versatility, the project involves walking, singing, and retracing experiences through sights and sounds.
