This is the sixth video in the Philosophy series, and the first one dedicated to the Buddha. There should be a total of five videos on the Buddha: the first covering his life; the second, his core philosophy; the third, Hinayana; the fourth, Mahayana; and the fifth, Navayana! If I produce one video per month, the exploration of the Buddha's philosophy should be complete within four to five months. Following that, we will embark on a journey through the Vedas and Upanishads, the Gita, Advaita Vedanta, and Vaishnava Vedanta. This video presents the complete story of the Buddha—viewed through the lens of Mahayana (specifically Ashvaghosha's 'Buddhacharita') as well as through the lens of Navayana (specifically Dr. Ambedkar's 'The Buddha and His Dhamma'). It serves as a fascinating illustration of just how many distinct variations of a single story can exist within one tradition. The video runs for approximately five hours and forty-five minutes. It would be best to watch it in segments spread out over several days.
