Between Mapocho and Matucana streets, far from the hustle and bustle of the city, lies the Matucana Tunnel, a 3-kilometer-long corridor that once connected the train tracks from Mapocho Station to Central Station. Dark as pitch and abandoned, its only inhabitants today are stray dogs, though it's said that people still wander the area.
