Explanation of Acclima's New True TDR Technology
Acclima has patented a brand new true TDR Soil Moisture Sensor. Using the standard SDI-12 data protocol,the TDR sensor is the world's most accurate, stable soil moisture sensor. This revolutionary patented design allows has successfully miniaturised and incorporated all of the electronic componentry required to operate a true TDR Time Domain Reflectometry Sensor. The step function generator, precision time base, and waveform digitiser are all encapsulated within the epoxy encapsulated electronics within the sensor itself. The need for a bandwidth limiting coaxial cable has been removed, with the information being converted to SDI-12 for connection to Data Loggers, Recording devices, diversified data arrays, and irrigation systems.
