Serra Catarinense | Enxame MTB

Seven days of mountaineering in the Serra Catarinense region, amidst cold, silence, and breathtaking views. The trip began in Urubici on the coldest day of the year so far, climbing Morro da Igreja, the highest inhabited point in the South, amidst freezing winds and that feeling of being small in the middle of the mountain. There was Rancho Denver, a bike ride up the Espraiado Canyon, trekking along the canyon's edge, a classic climb in Alfredo Wagner to the soldiers' base, and a descent on a 4x4 road that looked like a movie set. Then Florianópolis, with the trails of 66 and Praia da Brava, and finally Laguna, camping at a viewpoint watching the sunset on one side and the sunrise on the other in the middle of the bridge. A trip that was silent in many moments. Introspective, really. Just pedaling, wind, rocks, and time to think. Arthur Teixeira Omrá and Gabriel Dalla Rosa traversing some of the most breathtaking views in southern Brazil.
