Dobrador de Tensão - Circuito com diodos

In this video, we'll discuss two very interesting diode circuits: the Voltage Doubler and the Voltage Clamper. A clamper is a circuit that shifts an alternating current input signal either entirely above or entirely below the 0V axis. A voltage doubler, on the other hand, produces a continuous signal equal to twice the peak voltage of the alternating current input signal. Voltage doublers are widely used in the design of DC power supplies. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Professor Thiago de Oliveira is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering at UFMG, one of the best teaching and research institutions in Electrical Engineering in the country, and a managing member of the UFMG Power Electronics Group, a research group dedicated to the research and development of static converters.
