Mil Mi-2T - Soviet 1960 Helicopter Walkaround - Lithuanian Aviation Museum

The Mil Mi-2T is a twin-turbine helicopter designed by Mil Design Bureau in 1960. It was the first helicopter in the Soviet Union to be equipped with turboshaft engines. The first tests took place in 1962, and serial production under license was later moved to Poland, to the Swidnik aviation factory. Since 1965, more than 5,400 Mi-2T helicopters were manufactured there. They were used for a long time in both civil and military aviation, and in the 1980s they were disarmed and adapted for transport purposes. Lithuanian Aviation Museum, Kaunas, Lithuania (C) Jukka O.
