The Cerro de la Estrella (Hill of the Star), located in Iztapalapa, Mexico City, is a site with a rich history spanning pre-Hispanic, colonial, and contemporary periods. Each of these periods is represented at the site through various cultural and architectural elements that have sparked the interest of archaeoastronomical studies. The archaeoastronomical studies conducted at the Cerro de la Estrella and its surroundings seek to understand how past societies integrated the observation of celestial bodies into their daily lives, rituals, and architecture.
