Croatian Air Force Mil Mi-8 MTV-1 Helicopter Skydive - Piket Airfield LDSS Sinj

The 17th of October 2015 marks the 25th anniversary of the Independent Aviation Platoon Sinj and Split. Sinj and Split are the first Croatian Air Force units who were at the time under the 4th Guards Brigade, later in the Homeland War its members were part of the modern Croatian Air Force and Air Defence. The platoon conducted air reconnaissance, transport of men and equipament, seize of arms and ammo from the enemy, and in early June 1991 they performed their first combat flight, all that with limited resources.
