Kingdom Hearts 1 Walkthrough Part 9 - Sora & Tarzan Explore The Jungle

When I started my channel way back in 2008, I didn't even know that Kingdom Hearts existed. I came from a world of sports, racing and shooters; even Final Fantasy X was a huge stroke of fortune for me to ever come across and play. As such, games like KH were not on my radar, or enjoyed by any of my friends at the time. Fast-forward a few years and the channel started to gain a small audience. It was clear pretty early on that this game called "Kingdom Hearts" was loved by many who came to my channel for Final Fantasy content. I came to know of its existence but on first inspection: I wasn't all that interested. I had a lot of Final Fantasy still to play, and many, many other games I wanted to bring to the channel or try for the 1st time. Before I knew it, 16 years had gone by and I had thousands of videos, including every single player mainline Final Fantasy ever released. During this adventure, the mentions and requests for KH kept flowing in, piling up over the years. With FF complete, I was finally starting to turn my attention to this franchise that was beloved by so many FF fans, that I'd been missing out on. It took a couple more years for me to finally have the time and schedule to commit to it but here we are: The single most requested game on the channel outside of FF, finally launchin'! With it taking so long to start, it's important to note that I am 34 years old at this point. A veteran of gaming, with a preference and catalogue of games on the channel that on the whole, do not look and play like Kingdom Hearts. I am certain that the average viewer of this series who has KH experience was exposed far younger than I was, with different eyes. I almost certainly will have a very different adventure than many of you did your first time. But I am hoping that is what might just make this series all the more interesting to watch. As always, this is generally a blind run. I have little to no knowledge of the characters, bosses, story and gameplay. I have asked for some spoiler-free advice from my many friends who know the franchise, but for the most part I'll be flying solo with no guide; the same way I'd have played this game in 2002 as an 11 year old, when it came out. This will make for some frustrating, cringey and painful moments, but they will be authentic and real, the same way many of you would have experienced this game your 1st time had the cameras been on you back then. So hopefully you guys can remember that context and appreciate this run for what it is. Don't expect perfection, or even competence for the most part. Expect a journey, with ups and downs and hopefully some great moments along the way. Older though I may be, I'm always up for an adventure, even if it's aimed at a younger audience. The best movies, series and games are able to transcend things like age and previous experiences. Most of the Disney classics I watched when I was very young, and haven't really seen again since, so it should be a real trip down memory lane and probably even unlock some memories I had forgotten over the years. Kingdom Hearts clearly has charm, heart and magic, there's a reason it's beloved by so many. I'm hoping to experience some of that magic and see what I've missed out on. I hope you guys enjoy the journey! This first part sees us meet Sora, our main character. Alongside him we get to know his two closest friends: Kairi and Riku. Events transpire that break this trio apart, potentially scattering them across different worlds. It's up to Sora, and his newfound Final Fantasy & Disney friends to find out what's going on, and see if they can help save the world from the sinister forces at work, while reuniting with their friends.
