Episode 19: Processing Planetary Videos In this episode, you'll discover a tutorial showing how to process planetary astrophotography. This episode is a continuation of Episode 15. At the end of this episode, after the end credits, as a bonus, there was a short silent film showing the main steps involved in capturing the video of Venus (C8 + astro camera + PC with SharpCap = video in AVI format or, better, in SER format). To reduce the size of the video (1.7 GB) and center the image on Venus, the video was cropped with PIPP and saved in SER format (uncompressed). Thanks to this software, I went from a huge video to a small 60MB file, while preserving all the information useful for processing the planet image. The image analysis and alignment were done with Autostakkert 3, but this time in planetary mode. The detail processing and colorimetry were done with Registax 6. And there you have it...
